Maltby Street Market

Flanked alongside a continuous row of arches in the aptly named Ropewalk, below festoons of distressed buntings is an exciting cornucopia of food stalls in a quiet pocket of Bermondsey. Just a short walk from the Design Museum and Shad Thames, this weekend pop-up only opens for a few hours each day. Sizzling barbecues and tables laden with food representing all corners of the globe line the narrow walk. The place is buzzing with a hipster crowd who know about this local hidden gem, and are whiling away their sunday sipping on locally brewed Little Bird Gin or the delicious Hiver Honey Beer, whilst grazing on tapas, scotch eggs and all other tasty treats. Finish up with a Milo & Hector ice cream sandwich!
